Successful Partnerships
 |
Essentially education begins at home and expands from there. It is not something that is confined to the four walls of a school. It is something that is enhanced through the joint efforts of parents, guardians, school staff and community leaders. Parents are the primary educators of their children and play the most vital role in their children’s academic development.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) once said, “Each of you is a shepherd and each of you shall be asked about his flock: The leader is a shepherd of his people and shall be asked about his flock; A man is shepherd of his household and shall be asked about his flock; A woman is a shepherd of her husband’s house children and shall be asked about them”.
The most prominent role models in a child’s life are his parents. In the early years it is their lifestyle that he emulates and hence at Makki Islamic School a great amount of emphasis is placed on parental involvement in a student’s academic progress. By building successful partnerships with parents optimum results will definitely be achieved through Allah’s grace.
